Marketingz ("we," "us") is a Montreal-based business offering websites, growth retainers, SEO, paid ads, and AI receptionist services to local businesses. This page explains what personal information we collect through this site and through our outreach activities, why, and what you can do about it.
This is a plain-language description of our actual practices as of the date above, not a substitute for legal advice. If you have questions about how a specific piece of legislation applies to your situation, consult a qualified professional.
Who's responsible for your information
Marketingz, operated by Vilentz Rosanat, Montreal, Quebec. Vilentz Rosanat is the person responsible for the protection of personal information under Quebec's Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector (Law 25). Contact: marketingz@campaigncrush.org.
What we collect, and why
Information you give us directly
If you use the contact form on this site, we collect your name, email address, the message you write, and (optionally) which service you're interested in. We use this only to respond to your inquiry and, if you become a client, to deliver the service you've engaged us for. This data is stored in our database (hosted on Neon, a serverless Postgres provider) and is not sold or shared with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
Information collected automatically
Nothing is collected until you allow it. On your first visit this site asks, and no analytics or tracking script loads until you answer. Decline and none of it runs.
If you allow it, three things load:
- PostHog records which parts of a page people read and where they stop reading, and replays sessions so we can see where the page confuses someone. It sets a cookie so a returning visit is recognised as the same person.
- Google Analytics (GA4) reports traffic volume and which pages get visited. It sets cookies and collects approximate location, device and browser type.
- Vercel Analytics counts page views on the host that serves this site.
We use this to decide what to change about the page, and for no other purpose. It is never sold, and it is never combined with anything a client sends us.
You can change your mind at any time: withdraw or update your choice. Withdrawing is one click, the same as granting.
Information about businesses we contact
Part of our own service delivery — for ourselves and on behalf of clients — involves identifying and contacting local businesses who might be a good fit for what we or our clients offer. This means we sometimes collect publicly available business information (business name, category, address, phone, website, and a business contact email resolved from public sources) about businesses we have not had prior contact with, in order to send a commercial message. Every such message includes a clear way to opt out of further contact, in line with Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL). If you've received a message from us and want to be removed from any list, email marketingz@campaigncrush.org and we will action it.
How long we keep it
We keep contact-form submissions and client data for as long as needed to provide the service, respond to your inquiry, or meet our legal/accounting obligations, after which it's deleted or anonymized. Sourced business-contact data used for outreach is kept only as long as it remains relevant to that purpose, or until you ask us to remove it.
Where it's stored
This site is hosted on Vercel. Our database is hosted on Neon (serverless Postgres). Our outbound email sending, where applicable, runs through Instantly. Each of these providers has its own privacy practices governing the infrastructure layer; we choose providers that maintain standard industry security practices.
Your rights (Quebec Law 25 / applicable privacy law)
You can ask us to:
- Confirm what personal information we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate information
- Withdraw consent to further contact or processing (where consent is the basis for it)
- Delete information we no longer have a valid reason to keep
Email marketingz@campaigncrush.org to make any of these requests. If you're not satisfied with our response, you can contact Quebec's Commission d'accès à l'information (CAI).
Changes to this policy
If our practices change materially, we'll update this page and the "last updated" date above.
